Looking for the best area to stay in Seoul and other major destinations is a constant challenge for many travelers. You always rely on maps, included services and amenities, and customer feedback. But sometimes, some details fall under the radar and you may be coming in for a surprise of your traveling life once you bring down your heavy luggage from the vehicle. It’s not surprising to hear stories of tourists walking kilometers or (gasp!) even steep stairs in narrow alleys just to reach their well-promoted accommodation unit.

Since I have been staying in Seoul for several years now and have observed how easy or difficult it is for travelers, i figured I could give you an idea what you should expect in an area where you’re planning to book your stay in Seoul.

Myeongdong

The high demand for accommodations in this area has led to an increase in Airbnb listings. Pros:
