10 Most Visited Philippine Destinations by Youtube Travel Vloggers

The Philippines is fast becoming a preferred destination for a lot of travel vloggers. You can easily see the evidence by watching youtube videos by international as well as local vloggers with many of them raking up thousands of views per video.

I did some sleuthing and came up with this unscientific list. But no matter, it should give you some ideas of the destinations that are getting noticed and partly influenced by newbie as well as firmly established travel influencers.

Just keep in mind that things change over time. I notice that many (as in many) travellers are making a pilgrimage to the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) with quite a number of them setting up their bases in the area by renting condo units for months and even years! By the way, I’m coming up with an article on the emerging market segment which we can name as Resident Tourists. Watch out for it.

Take a look at the list and let me know your thoughts.

  1. Palawan

Known for its stunning beaches, limestone cliffs, and turquoise waters, Palawan is a favorite destination among vloggers, particularly the of Puerto Princesa and towns of El Nido and Coron. It's no surprise that it tops the list with thousands of videos uploaded on YouTube.

  2. Boracay

Another famous destination in the Philippines, Boracay's powdery white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters attract vloggers from all over the world.

  3. Siargao

Known as the surfing capital of the Philippines, Siargao's beautiful beaches, lagoons, and waves make it a favorite destination among adventure seekers and vloggers alike. This place seems to have become a must-visit destination to most recent vloggers.

  4. Batanes

An idyllic group of islands located in the northernmost part of the Philippines, Batanes' picturesque landscapes and unique culture make it a popular destination for vloggers even though access to the province is limited to small plane access only..

  5. Cebu

Aside from its historical sites and vibrant culture, Cebu is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, making it a top choice for vloggers. Cebu is another preferred base for many travel vloggers with many of them staying for longer term in the area.

  6. Bohol

Home to the famous Chocolate Hills, Bohol's natural wonders and unique attractions make it a popular destination among vloggers. The variety of attractions plus the white sand beaches as well as the “family ambience” of the province satisfy most vloggers to the province.

  7. Metro Manila

The capital city of the Philippines offers vloggers a glimpse of the country's rich history, culture, and modern lifestyle. Perhaps it is not surprising that most of the travelers gravitate towards the new urban features such as the large malls and BGC.

  8. Vigan

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Vigan is known for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture, making it a favorite among vloggers who are interested in history and culture.

  9. Dumaguete

Dubbed as the "City of Gentle People," Dumaguete offers vloggers a mix of beautiful scenery, delicious food, and warm hospitality. The city and some parts of the province also become a long-term haven not only to vloggers but also to a lot of foreign retirees who find simple but satisfying comforts of the area.

  10. Davao

Located in the southern part of the Philippines, Davao is known for its unique attractions such as the Philippine Eagle Center and Mount Apo, the country's highest peak. Davao City often becomes the base of most travelers.

It's really important to note that the popularity of these destinations among vloggers may change over time and may not necessarily reflect the preferences of all travelers.
