Busan Air Cruise in Songdo Beach
When my family decided to visit the second biggest city in South Korea, we had no plan to experience the Busan Air Cruise in Songdo Beach. But we made the right decision when we decided to check it out, as well as the beach and the seafood in the area.
What is Busan Air Cruise?
It must not be confused with an airline with an almost the same name. Busan Air Cruise is actually a cable car that is about 1.6 kilometers long that wings through one of the scenic coastal views in the city. Of course, the easiest would be by private or rented car or a taxi. Another option is to take a public bus. Just use the google or naver map to see the bus number and station. Just be ready for a bit of walking (about 12 minutes) from the bus stop to Songdo Beach.
What should you expect in Songdo Beach?
Songdo Beach is actually favored by people in search of less crowded tourist areas. This coastal town has been a famous destination for local Koreans but it has been eclipsed by other now more famous beach areas. The cable car was built only a few years ago to help revitalize Songdo Beach as a major tourist destination.
There are also a long boardwalk called Songdo CLoud Trails where you can spend a lot of time taking photos and simply enjoying the place.
Finally, this is a good place to discover how great the grilled Busan Eel for your dining experience and how it can elevate the quality of your travel. Just visit any of the restaurants dotting the road in Songdo Beach.

Busan has actually been as leader in developing cable cars as a tourist attraction. In fact, as early as the ‘70s, there was already a cable car attraction in the area. The modern system took many years to be completed and now has greatly improved the tourism value of Songdo Beach.
So if you are planning to visit South Korea, the Busan Air Cruise should be on top of your list, specially if you have enough time and planning to travel to this part of the city. It will be worth your time and your travel budget!
