I can’t count how many times I visited the Grand Greenhouse in Changgyeonggung Palace in Seoul, South Korea. You may call it my personal refuge even for a few hours whenever I get the excuse to go outside. The walk from the palace gate to the greenhouse is enough for what you may call a forest bath. And as you approach the structure from the curb, you will slowly witness how grand the place is.

And my favorite season to visit the greenhouse is in winter season, when the entire ground, the trees, and the glass structure are enveloped in the whitest snow.

For many tourists with limited time to enjoy this palace complex and visit only the major palace that is Gyeongbukgung, Changgyeonggung is often not included in their itineraries. But if you get the chance to spare a few hours, I would highly recommend that you go see this grand greenhouse. Of course, it would be much better in winter time, if you ask me!
