Night Photography in Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul, South Korea

Doing night photography in Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea has been a major item in my bucket list. Gyeongbukgung (or Gyengbokgung) Palace is open to the public only until 6:00 PM, sometimes 5:00 PM (better check when you’re planning to visit the site).

It’s not every convenient day that one gets the chance to enter Gyeongbukgung palace grounds at night in Seoul, South Korea. It is the largest and most opulent palace complex in South Korea. It is part of the itinerary of 100 percent of tourists to the country. That’s why when I found out that there are nights that the palace ground is open to the public, I took the chance and went home very happy! These are some of the photos and the video I made.

Would I recommend visiting and doing night photography in Gyeongbukgung Palace at night? Definitely! The ambience is entirely different. Heck, it can even be magical if you would feel like it! Visit it first at daytime, then return at night to see the huge difference in travel experience.
